Hi, I’m Julia.
I work at the intersection of GTM, data, applied AI and product at high-growth companies. I’ve spent my career connecting commercial instincts to technical execution, and I’m happiest when I’m building something cool.
building a bridge
I currently lead a team of GTM Engineers at Notion. On my way to GTM Engineering I’ve spent time in consulting, data engineering, analytics engineering, sales engineering, partnerships, revops, and customer success. I tend to thrive in one-of-one roles in the margins between fields, building the translation layer between business priorities and technical solutions. I’ve often been described as the ‘connective tissue’ between teams, or as a ‘self-contained loop’ between strategy, operations, and execution.
words about work
Some of the places I’ve talked about GTM Engineering:
a16z Ops Engineering Fellowship - selected for the inaugural cohort of Ops Engineering Fellows.
What even is GTM Engineering? - sat on a panel at the Clay office during NYC tech week.
GTM as Code - gave a talk about Notion’s GTM context layer at Ramp’s office.
90 Day Roadmap in GTM Innovation - gave a talk at Northstar by Everstage about roadmapping in a constantly changing environment.
Structuring a Team in the Age of Automation - led a roundtable at Northstar by Everstage about building a modern team.
AI World’s Fair - wasn’t able to make it to the conference, but helped write Flora’s presentation on our team’s work.
etc.
I’m a classically trained soprano and I enjoy making hand-knotted beaded jewelry. I care a lot about how data is applied to real-world problems, and have authored and co-authored several publications on the topic. I also enjoy good storytelling in all its forms (but especially through TTRPGs).
Greater Data Inclusion for Puerto Rico - author (The Urban Institute)
Association of Structural Fires in New York City with Inequities in Safe Heating for Immigrant Communities - co author, concept/analysis, data preparation (JAMA Network Open)
NYC Open Data Week - lightning talk presentation of paper results
COVID-19 Data Hub - data engineering, visualization design (Tableau) - visualizations received a combined 3M+ visits
